진리(法)를 즐기는 사람은

고요한 망므으로 행복하게 살아가네.

그런 현명한 사람은

성자들이 드러낸 진리(法)에 늘 기뻐하네.

He who drinks in the Dharma lives happily with a serene mind;

the wise man ever delights in the Dharma revealed by the Ariyas.

善法臥安心悅意情聖人演法慧常樂行 .(79)

Cultivate good friendship/좋은 우정을 가꾸어라

악한 친구와 사귀지 말고

비열한 사람들과 사귀지 말아라.

선한 친구들과 사귀고

점잖은 사람들과 사귀어라.

Associate not with evil friends, associate not with mean men;

associate with good friends, associate with noble men.

常避無義不親愚人思從賢友押附上士 .(78)

땅 속에 묻힌 보물을 (찾기 위해) 안내자를 따르듯

자신의 잘못을 타일러주는 현명한 사람을 따라야 하리.

현명한 사람을 따르는 사람에게

이득이 되고 결코 손실이 따르지 않으리.

One should follow a wise man who admonishes one for one's faults;

as one would follow a guide to some buried treasure.

To one who follows such a wise man,

it will be an advantage and not a disadvantage.

深觀善惡心知畏忌畏而不犯終吉無憂

故世有福念思紹行善致其願福祿轉勝 .(76)
