No suffering for the emancipated/집착에서 벗어난 사람에게는 아무런 고통도 없다

(생사의) 긴 여행을 마친 사람, 우환이 없는 사람,

모든 것에서 완전히 자유로워진 사람과

온갖 속박을 부수어 버린 사람에게는

(격정의) 열기는 존재하지 않네.

For him who has completed the journey, for him who isn't sorrow,

for him who from everything is wholly free,

for him who has destroyed all ties, the fever (for passion) exists not.

去離憂患脫於一切縛結已解冷而無煖. (90)

The wise are neither elated nor depressed/현명한 사람은 우쭐대지도 의기소침…

선한 이는 모든 것(에 대한 집착)을 포기하고

덕 높은 이는 감각적 갈망에 사로잡혀

쓸데없는 말을 하지 않네.

행운이 찾아오건 고통이 엄습하건

현명한 이는

우쭐대거나 의기소침한 모습을 보이지 않네.

The good give up (attachment for) everything;

the saintly prattle not with sensual craving:

whether affected by happiness or by pain,

the wise show neither elation nor depression.

大人體無欲在所昭然明雖或遭苦樂不高現其智 .(83)

물대는 사람은 물을 끌고

활 만드는 이는 활을 구부리며,

목공은 나무를 다루고

현명한 사람은 스스로를 다스리네.

Irrigators lead the waters;

fletchers bend the shafts;

carpenters bend the wood;

the wise control themselves.

弓工調角水人調船材匠調木智者調身 .(80)
